The Issaquah History Museums are gearing up for our busy summer season, full of trolley rides, museum visits, history hikes, and Hands-on History. Join us to learn more about opportunities for getting involved. The Issaquah History Museums will hold an Open House for anyone interested in volunteering opportunities at the Issaquah Depot on Thursday, March 7th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Enjoy refreshments and find out about what volunteers do and what volunteer positions are available. The Museums offer a wide range of activities you can get involved with.
Volunteers at the IHM:
welcome visitors to the museums
join a trolley crew on weekends,
lead or assist with mining, logging, or downtown history hikes
lead children and adult’s tours,
catalog and care for the artifact and photo collections,
engage kids with hands-on activity during Hands-On History days or Heritage Day.
We welcome all ages to volunteer including middle and high school students. You don’t have to be long-time resident to volunteer with us. Come to our Open House and find out from current volunteers why they choose to volunteer at the Issaquah History Museums – and why you might enjoy it too!
