info@issaquahhistory.org ISSAQUAH HISTORICAL SOCIETY HONORS VOLUNTEERS Issaquah, Wash. – The Issaquah Historical Society will honor more than 75 volunteers at the Forth Annual IHS Volunteer Wards Night on Thursday, April 1. The event will be held at the Issaquah Depot, and will begin at 7 PM. Each volunteer who contributed their time and energy to the Society’s historic preservation and education work during 2003 will be honored. Four volunteers will be recognized as Star Volunteers for special efforts as a trolley volunteer, restoration shop volunteer, docent, or special projects volunteer. We will also someone who made contributions above and beyond the call of duty with the Volunteer of the Year award. The following local merchants have generously donated the gifts of appreciation we will award to the Volunteer of the Year and the four star Volunteers. They are Flying Pie Pizza, the Issaquah Brewhouse, Lewis Hardware, Radiance Healing and the Village Theatre. QFC of Issaquah will also donate refreshments. This event is open to the public and will include refreshments and live music. Names of awardees will be released the day after the ceremony. |
