LAKE SAMMAMISH RANGER TO SPEAK AT AUTUMN HISTORY NIGHT
Issaquah, Wash. – On Tuesday, October 12, the Issaquah Historical Society
will welcome Rich Benson to speak at Autumn History Night. The presentation will
begin at 7 PM at the Issaquah Depot. Benson, a park ranger at the Lake Sammamish
State Park, has been researching the history of the park for several years.
He’ll share information about the land that became the park, the origins of the
park itself, and important milestones and events in the park’s fifty-plus years.
History Nights are open to the public and free of charge. Refreshments will be
served. Members in good standing of the Issaquah Historical Society will also
vote on board members for the 2004-05 year. If you are a member and are unable
to make it to the meeting, please contact our office to obtain an absentee
ballot.
In 2005 the Issaquah Historical Society hosts its quarterly history programs on
the third Saturday of January, April, July and October at 11 AM. For more
information on any of our quarterly history nights, please contact Karen Klein
at (425) 392-3500 or volunteer@issaquahhistory.org.
