In this circa 1920 photo of the Pickering Farm, the herd is shown in pens,
awaiting entrance to the barn for milking. In the field to the left of the barn
is the year's corn crop. In the center of the picture, two horse drawn wagons
loaded with freshly harvested corn are headed for the silos.
