Downtown History Hike: Early Years

State militiamen in Issaquah on July 18, 1891. They were sent to Issaquah to impose order during a miners' strike, during which African-American miners were unknowingly brought in as 'scabs'.

Museum guide, Doug Bristol, will lead participants on a walk through the history of Issaquah, from the Native Americans to the present day. The tour will begin at 10:00am. Advance registration is required. Participants check in at the Issaquah Depot. It will cover roughly two miles of level sidewalk and will last approximately two hours.
