Trolley Service Begins

The Issaquah Valley Trolley (IVT) will begin its 2016 season on Saturday, May 7. The trolley will operate Saturdays and Sundays, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting, through the end of September. Passengers board at the Issaquah Depot Museum, 78 First Ave. NE, Issaquah. Boarding passes can be purchased at the ticket window in the waiting room. The fare is $5 per person, which includes the trolley ride plus admission to the Depot Museum and the Gilman Town Hall Museum.…

Downtown History Hike

Museum guide, Doug Bristol, will lead participants on a walk through the history of Issaquah, from the Native Americans to the present day. The tour will begin at 10:00am. Advance registration is required. Participants check in at the Issaquah Depot. It will cover roughly two miles of level sidewalk and will last approximately two hours.

Issaquah has an interesting and colorful past of murder, mayhem, and prohibition and we want to share it with you. We will start at the historic Train Depot Museum and proceed through six of Issaquah’s downtown establishments. Each location will feature a small cocktail or appetizer and lively narratives about the people of Issaquah and times gone by. We'll finish at the Historic Shell Station.

On March 26th, you will have the chance to explore the daily commute of miners who worked in Issaquah's longest-lasting coal mining operation starting in 1888.
