About the Issaquah History MuseumsIn 1972, the Issaquah History Museums was first formed as the Issaquah Historical Society. It's purpose is to discover, preserve and share the history of Issaquah and vicinity. Our two museums are the Issaquah Depot Museum and the Gilman Town Hall Museum. | Accessions Committee Responsible for decisions concerning accessioning and deaccessioning collection items. |
Communications Committee Responsible for newsletters, brochures, and publicity, web site and e-mail announcements. |
| Executive Committee As called on by the President: Make decisions on critical matters happening between Board meetings. |
Finance Committee Responsible for accounting procedures and fiscal management and proposing a budget to the Board. |
| Facilities Committee Responsible for maintenance and improvements of depot building, town hall building, shop building and large outdoor structures. |
Historic Preservation Ensure the preservation of historical buildings and sites |
| Membership Committee Promote Membership and oversee membership events. |
Special Events Plan special events such as Salmon Days and Fourth of July and report to Board. |
| Trolley Committee Plan and coordinate the Issaquah Valley Trolley project |
Ways and Means Responsible for fund raising to support programs and operations, and to oversee the gift shops. |
| Exhibits Committee Responsible for exhibits at Depot and Town Hall museums. |
Note: The president and vice-president are non-voting members of each Board Committee. Please invite them to meetings. |
